New Projects

April 18, 2011

Well it's a gray spring day here in Iowa.  Perfect weather for staying indoors and quilting even though I would love some warm sunshine!

My current project is turning out to be quite fun.  Sometimes I start with one idea for a quilt in mind and then when I get to the drawing board and start making the components, it starts evolving into something completely different.  The photo in this post (click on blog post title to see the photo) shows the center of my new project.

That's a lot of flying geese!  Eventually, I will be adding a solid inner border where I can add applique and then another pieced outer border.  I hope this will be a pattern that will either be a stand alone that I market, or it could be the basis for a new book.  We'll see!

Do you have a favorite block or style of quilt?  Let me know!  I would love to know what other quilters are working on.

Happy Quilting!
